GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT

An assumption basic to school guidance is that every human being is of value and has a right to optimal development. Since education is concerned with individual development, guidance has an important position in the school curriculum. The school guidance program exists for the students, and the major emphasis of the program is to further those educational goals which focus upon the development of the student in terms of his/her own personal needs and in terms of the needs of society. The program should help the student find his/her rightful place in the social order and help in the achievement of his/her ultimate goals.

Within the scope of the school’s philosophy and objectives, the guidance program is a resource center which provides information and consultation to students, parents, teachers, and administrators concerning educational and social-personal matters.
