Scranton Preparatory School received its official charter of incorporation on November 23, 1977. Prior to that time it had been a division of the University of Scranton since 1944.

GIFTS TO PREP
Outright, tax-deductible gifts to the school are always welcome. Donors can make them to the variety of development activities Prep conducts and each donation, no matter the size, is appreciated.

BEQUESTS
Wills also provide the opportunity to assure the continued well-being of the school and the remembrance of loved ones. Prep encourages such planning and hopes that parents, alumni, and friends will consider helping the school. The way to make a bequest to Prep is:

I give and bequeath to the Scranton Preparatory School,
under the direction of the Society of Jesus,
a corporation duly incorporated according to the laws
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, located at Scranton,
Pennsylvania, the sum of $___________________ dollars,
(or otherwise describe the gift) for its general corporate purpose
(or name a particular corporate purpose).

If Prep is already in your will, please notify the school. It helps in long range planning and also assists the school in encouraging others to do the same. If Prep has not been included in your will, you might consider consulting your lawyer and exploring the benefits of making such a bequest.
